Most people seemed from fledgling PBOs, or jurisdictions in which PBOs were being considered.
Many are interested in how to go about setting up a PBO well.
Others were concerned with winning the confidence of the legislators and parliament to get them on board with the PBO model (i.e. getting them to buy in).
The room seems very well populated with those already successful PBOs and those interested in establishing them. Fertile ground for collaboration!
People were also interested in when the PBO should get involved in analyzing the budget. Before it's tabled? During? After? Etc.
Finally, participants seemed eager to learn strategies for building the capacity and understanding the bottle necks within the legislative system (e.g. where the legislature is approving appropriations).
